A look back at the first Fonthead website
Way back in 1994, the dawn of the web era, Fonthead was born. The first font collection was created and then advertised alongside a free font that was posted to the now defunct(?) Info-Mac FTP servers. Two years later our first real website went up.
Our site has undergone a few revisions. The latest round was in the works for a very long time. I am quite glad to have the bulk of it behind me! Enjoy the trip down memory lane…

I remember when your site looked like this! And it had pictures of you and your beautiful wife on it. Ask if she remembers me from SIRS.

it is so cool to see this again! i bought a load of your fonts in 1996 via Cyberia the first internet cafe - i had no connection at home or work back then. you sent me a floppy disk in the post! sadly i lost both disk and most of the installed fonts during a major system upgrade and domestic clearout c. 2003. so i just got round to finding you again and buying back a couple of fonts to reconstitute some old 90s documents. the tattoo-on-the-arm logo had some kind of back-of-the-mind influence on my eventual tattoos.

I first discovered your fonts via that site design on my PowerMac 7100. Good Dog was one of my favorite fonts. Last night I discovered the Squirrel font site with an ad that linked to…fonthead! Great to see you are still creating beautiful fonts!
